Two Men Arrested For Atascadero Weekend Crime Spree

Atascadero Police say two men were arrested on suspicion of being involved in a rash of crimes in Atascadero. According to their press release, Between Friday, May 24, and Monday, May 27, two vans were stolen from Atascadero Unified School District, someone attempted to steal a van on Traffic Way. Then thieves used a backhoe to try and steal an ATM from Pacific Premier Bank. Evidence led investigators to Monterey County where they found 35-year-old Francis Humes and 43-year-old Christopher Burrell. Both men are now facing a stack of charges.
