The Santa Maria Fire Department is investigating a fire that broke out over the weekend at a local recycling center. Officials say the blaze broke out at SA Recycling Saturday morning. Smoke from the fire forced firefighters to close A portion of West Betteravia for a few hours. Dozens of cars were burned in the blaze. An investigation into the cause is currently underway. Damage is estimated between $50,000 and $60,000.
