Warming Shelters Need Volunteers

As we get deeper into the winter months, a need for volunteers continues to grow at area warming centers. The Atascadero Warming Center at 4500 El Camino Real, reminds residents that there is still a need for volunteers, money and food donations. The same call to action comes from the 5Cities Homeless Coalition in Grover Beach. Both locations open their facilities on nights when the temperature is predicted to reach below 40 degrees, or there is a 50 percent chance of rain.
