A construction site at Santa Maria High School has received an artistic upgrade. Art students at the school have been transforming more than 250-feet of plywood surrounding the site into a huge mural. Construction isn’t expected to be completed until the spring of 2022, and the students didn’t want to look at blank plywood walls. They came up with the art idea and teaches gave them a green light to turn the eyesore into art. According to KSBY, the Chinese New Year was chosen as a theme to show diversity at Santa Maria High School.
