The Arroyo Grande Strawberry Festival is no more, but don’t worry, you’ll still have an opportunity for berry-themed fun this Memorial Day weekend. For 37 years the festival had drawn thousands of visitors to the Village of Arroyo Grande. Now, according to South County Chambers of Commerce, the festival will have a smaller footprint that will include more local music and art, strawberry-themed drinks and dishes at Village establishments and several local vendors. After the 2020 Festival, it’s possible there may be no strawberry-themed event Memorial Day weekend.
