Lompoc Police are in the beginning stages of a homicide investigation. Authorities say a 30-year-old male victim was shot last night on the 700 block of West Chestnut Avenue just after eight o’clock. When officers arrived, they found the victim and started medical aid. He was transported to the Lompoc Emergency Room where he would be pronounced dead.
