Cal Fire SLO Officials say firefighters working the Whale Fire near Cayucos are facing high temps as they continue their mop-up operations. Crews are on the fourth day of fighting the flames and gaining containment of the lightning-sparked blaze. According to Cal Fire SLO’s Twitter feed, the flames are currently 65 percent contained.
