Three thieves from out of the area will be spending a little extra time in San Luis Obispo County. San Luis Obispo Police investigators credit an alert citizen for indentifying a suspect vehicle early yesterday morning. Just after 1 A.M. police received a call about the sound of metal being cut in the Mustang Drive area. When police arrived, they caught up with a minivan that had three people, two catalytic converters, and tools to remove more catalytic converters inside. All three suspects were booked into county jail. The investigation is ongoing.
