San Luis Obispo Police arrested a man over the weekend on suspicion of elder abuse. Investigators responded to a call Saturday night about a possible case of elder abuse from a local hospital. According to a press release, The victim’s grandson, 33-year-old David Mazza Jr., told hospital staff that he was her primary caregiver and demanded the victim be released from the hospital. Mazza was taken into custody after investigators determined he was not properly caring for the victim. Bail has been set at $50,000. The investigation is ongoing.
