Safe Overnight Parking For homeless

San Luis Obispo City officials have teamed with a local non-profit to create a safe place for unhoused people to camp overnight. The partnership between the city and CAPSLO will open up 20 parking spaces for people to stay overnight in their vehicles, but they will have to sign up for a permit. According to KSBY, that permit will allow participants to utilize services at the 40 Prado Homeless Services Center in San Luis Obispo for a month. The program could be extended beyond the pandemic.
