1990’s West Coast Rap Legend Coolio has passed away today at the age of 59. He was born Artis Leon Ivey Jr. , and was most known for his 1995 smash hit song, “Gangsta’s Paradise” with L.V. from the soundtrack of the movie “Dangerous Minds” starring Michelle Pfeiffer, who appeared with Coolio in the song’s music video. Other notable hits from Coolio included “Fantastic Voyage”, “1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin New)”, “County Line”, and “Too Hot”.
Foul play is not suspected in his death, but the coroner will still perform a full autopsy to determine the exact cause.
