New Smoking Ordinances In Effect

A couple of new smoking-related ordinances are now in effect in San Luis Obispo County. Two updated tobacco ordinances went into effect yesterday in unincorporated areas. The amended ordinances were passed by the County Board of Supervisors last month. The first bans the sale of electronic smoking devices in unincorporated areas of the county. The second prohibits smoking in all public areas in the unincorporated areas of the county. According to KSBY, the e-cigarette ban affects 65 tobacco retailers in the county.
