The Morro Bay City Council has become the first city in San Luis Obispo County to call for President Trump’s removal from office. According to the Tribune, a three paragraph letter, drafted on Wednesday, calls for the removal of the president through the impeachment process. The letter read, in part, “it is imperative that we hold those who violently attacked our Capitol, and who promoted such attacks, responsible.” The letter is being sent to state and federal elected officials. The Senate voted earlier this week, 232 to 197 to impeach.
