A weekend crash on Highway 46 left one person dead and three others injured. CHP investigators say it happened at about 6:30 Saturday morning near the Cholame ‘Y’. A 33-year-old female driver was getting ready to turn left from the Jack Ranch Cafe parking lot, onto the eastbound lanes of The 46. She apparently didn’t see an oncoming Toyota minivan in the westbound lane. The passenger in the left rear of her car was ejected. The seven people in the minivan were not injured. While drugs or alcohol are not factors in the crash, the investigation is ongoing.
