Investigators Find Thousands Of Pot Plants

A months-long investigation by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s office led deputies to the front door of one of the first cannabis shops in Grover Beach. At about 8:30 yesterday morning, the Cannabis Compliance Team served two search warrants. One at a property in Los Alamos and the other at 805 Beach Breaks in Grover Beach. Officials say the investigation involves fraudulent licensing and black-market marijuana distribution. During the searches, deputies discovered more than 700 thousand pot plants and thousands of pounds of processed and packaged marijuana. The investigation is ongoing.
