Cuesta Graduating Class Sets Record

The graduating class of 2019 at Cuesta College was record-setting. Friday more than 1,400 degrees were awarded to just over 1,000 students. Officials say nearly 500 of the graduates came from local high school and over 200 were members of Cuesta’s Promise program. According to the Tribune, the graduates ranged in age from 17 to 77, including a 62-year-old nursing graduate. Marti Mueller took a 35-year break from school to run a business and raise a family before returning for her degree.
