Yesterday was a big day for the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Ian Parkinson welcomed 16 new deputies to the department. 10 members were sworn in as Correctional Deputies and six were Patrol Deputies. One deputy who retired in March was recognized at yesterdays ceremony. K9 Jack, who joined the Sheriff’s Office in 2010 and was instrumental in a number of drug cases.
