Starting this morning, Cal Fire will be conducting a series of prescribed burns in San Luis Obispo’s North County. The first will take place in Paso Robles at the Cal Fire facility off of Airport Road. they’ll burn about 10 acres starting at 9 a.m… Tomorrow, a prescribed burn will take place at Camp SLO. Roughly 230 acres of grassland at Camp SLO will be burned. Fire officials say the burn is necessary to prevent an unplanned ignition that could occur during scheduled live munitions training. Other prescribed burns are scheduled throughout the county, weather permitting.
