A shooting incident at the Gilroy Garlic Festival yesterday left three people dead, including a 6-year-old boy and injuring a dozen more. Police say it began as the three-day festival was winding down. The unidentified gunman avoided security measures by cutting through a fence near the rear of the festival. Police say officers engaged the suspect within a minute of the first shots being fired. He was shot and killed. Authorities believe a second suspect is currently on the run. An investigation is ongoing.
