Man Accused Of Sending Threatening Cards Goes To Court

The San Luis Obispo man accused of sending Hallmark cards threatening to shoot minorities moving into his neighborhood was in court yesterday. 62-year-old Richard Orcutt was arrested in June and charged earlier this month with 10 felonies. His attorney told the court that, there are “no eyewitnesses, no surveillance videos, no scientific evidence showing he wrote or sent these threatening, racist cards.”. Orcutt entered a plea of not guilty and is due back in court on August 13th.
