Cal Fire and the Morro Bay Fire Department answered a call about someone climbing Morro Rock yesterday. Morro Bay Fire was already in the area. Paramedics were performing CPR on an unresponsive man. he was taken to an area hospital. His condition is unknown. Meanwhile, crews searched for the possible climber, but no one was found. The CHP H-70 helicopter made several passes around Morro Rock, but could not find anyone. Crews on the ground also came up empty and the search was called off. It is illegal to climb Morro Rock.
