An Atascadero man is behind bars this morning after leading San Luis Obispo Police on a pursuit through town. It started when Police received calls about a person driving erratically, running stop signs, and screaming at pedestrians. He was able to elude officers a few times but was caught when he crashed into another vehicle on Olive Street. 44-year-old William Meiborg had a brief standoff with police when he refused to get out of his car. He’s now facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon and outstanding felony warrants.
