The former Atascadero High School band booster club treasurer accused of embezzlement is going to jail. Sherry Gong admitted to embezzling just over 32,500 dollars from the band boosters between July 2017 and April 2018. She was sentenced yesterday to 180 days in jail and three years probation. The judge also ordered her not to volunteer or be employed in a capacity where she has financial responsibilities. She’ll start her sentence on December 2nd.
