A former mayor of Grover Beach has resigned his position with the Santa Barbara County Planning Commission. According to the Tribune, John Shoals left the job following an investigation into allegations of misconduct that made a female co-worker feel uncomfortable. During the investigation, Shoals denied any wrongdoing. He resigned in August. The Grover Beach City attorney says no such complaints were made during Shoals’ time as mayor for Grover Beach.
