Evacuees Back On U.S. Soil, Including Paso Robles Woman

The Americans evacuated off the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan are now at three locations in the U.S., Travis Air Force Base in Northern California, Joint Base San Antonio in Texas, or at a specialized center in the Omaha, Nebraska area. The two planes took the evacuees there for 14 days of quarantine or for treatment for those who have tested positive for coronavirus. Sarah Arana, the Paso Robles woman who has been stuck on a cruise ship in Japan for the past several days is back on U.S. Soil. Now she starts a second mandatory quarantine in an apartment on the base. According to her Facebook post, she’s grateful for the monumental effort to bring everyone home.
