A Nipomo man was arrested after he allegedly aimed a high-powered green laser at a CHP plane last month. The plane was being used as part of a multi-agency operation in San Luis Obispo’s South County. Crew members reported being struck by the laser several times. Officers caught up with 51-year-old Zammy Castellanos. He’s now facing felony charges that could carry a sentence of 5 years and up to a 25,000 dollar fine.
