As crews put the finishing touches on the new alternative healthcare facility at Cal Poly’s rec center, Cuesta College nursing students are stepping up to volunteer. The Cuesta nursing program has teamed up with the SLO County Medical Reserve Corp to place the students where needed. School officials say the nursing volunteers will get valuable hands-on training and fulfill their clinical hours needed to graduate.
