D.A.’s Office Declines To Accept Delivery Of Petitions

A small group of Black Lives Matter organizers is wondering what to do after the San Luis Obispo County D.A.’s office refused to receive delivery of roughly a half-million signatures gathered in support of a local activist. According to the Tribune, the District Attorney’s Office said it will not consider the petitions but will “follow the law without regard for political pressure or political sentiment.” Tianna Arata is due in court tomorrow.
