Black Bear Spotted In Los Osos

A black bear spotted roaming through a Los Osos Neighborhood yesterday is back in familiar surroundings this morning. The bear was first spotted swimming across the back bay in Los Osos at around 7. It made it to land, and meandered through the neighborhoods of Santa Ysabel Ave. and Pasadena Dr. before taking a nap in a tree. Wildlife official waited for the bear to come down, then darted it. It scurried back up the tree but eventually fell back to the ground. The bear was not injured. Wildlife officials took the bear to the Los Padres National Forest and set it free.
