The Santa Maria City Council will take a look at a proposed ordinance that would restrict how sidewalk vendors do business. Currently, many vendors set up shop near freeway on and off-ramps to attract larger crowds. Under the new ordinance that would no longer be allowed. Some vendors say the ordinance would hurt their business. The ordinance will be presented to the Santa Maria City Council later today.
