U.K Variant Of COVID Found In S.B. County

San Luis Obispo County has reported 36 new cases of COVID-19. Santa Barbara County also added to their total by 52 cases, including 4 more deaths. Santa Barbara County Health officials also announced that two county residents who tested positive for COVID-19 had the B.1.1.7 variant, also known as the U.K. variant. Last week there were 265 known cases caused by the U.K. variant, which is thought to be more contagious and cause greater illness.
