An early morning shooting in Santa Maria left a man with “significant” injuries. Police say it happened just before 4:30 a.m. yesterday. When officers arrived at the South Broadway scene, they found a 41-year-old male victim with gunshot wounds. he was transported to an area hospital for treatment. So far, police do not believe the shooting was gang-related or connected to Sunday’s fatal shooting.
