Santa Maria Police Investigators have identified the victim in a fatal weekend shooting. Just after 2 A.M. Sunday, officers were called to the area of North Lincoln and West Mill streets. When they arrived they found 19-year-old Mario Angel Merino Gonzalez of Guadalupe suffering from several gunshot wounds. He would be pronounced dead at the scene.
