Santa Barbara County firefighters were called out yesterday to a report of an asphalt tank fire near Santa Maria. Just before noon, crews arrived at the Stinton Road scene near the Greka crude oil processing plant. Officials tweeted that firefighters were using steam injection to put out the flames. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
