The space exploration industry could prove to be an economic boon for the Central Coast. Yesterday, Reach, a Central Coast economic impact nonprofit announced a partnership with the Vandenberg Space Force Base, Cal Poly SLO, Santa Barbara County, Deloitte, and the state of California. The goal of the coalition is to develop a master plan that would make the Central Coast a global leader in the future of the commercial space industry. According to KSBY, the master plan also aims at creating 2,000 jobs and 6 billion dollars for Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties.
