The San Luis Obispo City employee who pleaded guilty to assaulting two people at an Avila Beach bar is now asking to serve his time at a so-called “pay-to-stay” jail in Southern California. His defense attorney says the request was made because his client has received threats. The San Luis Obispo County D.A.’s office Objects to the request. The Sheriff’s Office has the final say where Chris Olcott will spend his 60 days behind bars.
