The CHP says, a Santa Maria man survived a collision with a CalTrans truck Saturday morning. Investigators say the crash happened on San Luis Bay Drive at around 10 a.m… The driver, for some reason, veered onto the shoulder and hit the barrier truck that was parked on the shoulder. According to the CHP, no one was in the truck at the time. The driver luckily, only suffered a cut on his nose. Investigators say it does not appear that drugs or alcohol played a part in the crash.
