Today signals the beginning of the nomination period for the
March 3, 2020, Presidential Primary Election. If you’re interested in running for a San Luis Obispo County office, you must complete the necessary paperwork by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6th. The contests on the ballot include voter-nominated races for U.S. Congress 24th District, 17th District State Senator, 35th District Member of the State Assembly, 1st, 3rd, and 5th District Supervisors. A list of those candidates who have already taken out papers can be found at SLO Vote dot com.
